Troubleshooting

Improve air circulation by thinning crowded stems and choose mildew-resistant cultivars like 'Miss Kim'; the disease is cosmetic and doesn't require chemical treatment.

Prune only immediately after flowering (buds for next year set by midsummer), and check that the site gets at least 6 hours of direct sun.
